Back to say Happy Spring Equinox. Hope your energy is rising with the new season and brighter days. On top of that the clocks go forward this weekend. Bring it. We're here for the new and ready to Manifest a million new possibilities. How about you?

'Never' and 'always' are such powerful words that the received wisdom is that they should be avoided in discussions with our partners. "You NEVER load the dishwasher correctly", "You ALWAYS call your cooking Cajun when in fact you've just actually burnt it" - oops, maybe a little too specific there, but the gist is that Never and Always inhibit the opportunity for change and seeing newness and nuances that can be seized and enjoyed.
However, as we currently rotate Pavel Kostiuk's classic, Brand New Day (big up Vanessa Freeman on vocals) it reminds us that there will indeed never, in our current consciousness, be another day like this. Ever. There may be another 4th of August. But never a 4th of August 2022. It is brand new and as such, full of infinite new possibilities and opportunities. To be new. To be a little bit different from yesterday. We can change who we are from one day to the next in the name of progress. We don't have to stay stuck just because most things seem to be the same as yesterday. They're not. We're not. We move. We grow. How will you be brand new today? There's something so special about London when it heats up, where everyone carries that combination of cool, chilled, fly certainty that this is a great city no matter your origins. We suck on lemonade sparkles and lick vegan almond magnums (maybe that's just us) and instead of our usual busy stressed out rush, we slow down, go with the flow and remember what life's about. We glow, we smile, we shine. We exchange conversations with strangers and perhaps play Heatwave Bingo ("I remember the summer of '76" 1 point; "it's too hot" 1 point; "drink some tea, it'll cool you down" 5 points; "I'm almost as dark as you" 10 points because there's always one - lol).
So, in honour of the kind of summer we're having, we've added some of Johnny Wilder's funkiest vocals into the rotation. Allow The Manifest Station to be your uplifting, laid back, meditative, inspiring soundtrack as you work your way through your summer in the city. Stay hydrated Love - Team Manifest We're currently bouncing along to the mid-afternoon playlist as Marc Mac segues into George Benson and reflecting on how lucky we are to be doing what we love, which is pretty much listening to music all day. Our energy slot from 9am-12pm kept us going through our morning workout - bwoy those sit up twists are not a joke - went through our personal admin to a chilled soundtrack enabling us to spot those spam chancers in our inbox and have just finished baking homemade granola to our early afternoon energised playlist. The house smells deliciously of toasted millet, nuts, maple syrup, coconut and cardamom. (Tom Kerridge's recipe if you're interested).
Coming up at 5 is a bit of jump up for the commute home. If you're anything like us, you won't business who's watching your head nod. You've worked hard, you're allowed to give some stank-face to the bass. Hoping you're enjoying this as much as we are. Love from the Manifest Station Thanks for tuning in to the newness. Maybe it's about time to listen differently, to hear differently, to feel differently. It's a teeny weeny break from the norm: not too old not too new. Just right. A hip hop Goldilocks perhaps. Taking in the unexpected along the way. Ready for a change?
